What we do
The community engagement project aims to bring communities together by organising events and providing guidance & support to service providers.
We do this by:
- Assisting in Organisational & Policy Development
- Advice & Guidance on issues relating to Diversity
- Developing Networks & Community links
- Supporting Community Events & Activities
- Developing Forums and Community Focus Groups
- Facilitating and providing Community Training programmes
- Developing capacity within BME groups/services
Black and Ethnic Minority Services within Corby
Economic migration and regeneration is changing the nature of the cultural and ethnic make up of Corby. Developing cohesive and integral methods of communication and understanding of the needs of Black and Ethnic minority communities is central to the work of the community diversity officers.
We facilitate and assist in developing:
- Specific BME Focus Groups
- Specific support to BME group/service development
- Links into BME national, regional & local strategic networks
- Volunteering opportunities for BME communities.
