New Communities Forum

Aims

·        Improve and develop the involvement of  individuals and groups new to Corby and the UK - in living and working within Corby

·        Establish a coherent network between new  communities within Corby to improve sharing of best practice, common issues and concerns and enhance and facilitate the consultation process with voluntary and other organisations

·        Raise the profile and voice of the new communities and support capacity building through mutual assistance/communication, and facilitate the growth of new projects/services

Objectives

·        Provide a platform for people who have English Language as a second language to influence CCP projects and activities.

·        Provide an opportunity for people to raise issues and become consulted on the following

                        Health

                        Employment & Education Services

                        British Culture

                        Policing & the Law

                        Community Safety

                        Services provided by statutory & voluntary sector agencies.

·        Access learning and training opportunities

·        To enable people to meet new friends and share experiences/ knowledge

·        To develop intercultural dialogue
