Aims

To enable participants to develop an awareness of the discrimination facing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people, identify themes and dispel common myths about LGBT people and lifestyles.
 
The training is an introduction to developing your understanding of issues affecting  the lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender communities in delivering appropriate services.  It is aimed at anyone interested in working in health, health workers and those currently developing community health services.
 
 

The session will be facilitated by Jude Lochead a wellknown national trainer and speaker in the field of sexuality and gender politics.  Jude Lochead is also known for her research work and work with the substance misuse field.

Pink Triangle Training
Established in 2007 Pink Triangle currently provides sexual orientation awareness training to professionals working in third sector organisations across England.  Pink Triangle aims to promote the holistic inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and ‘trans’ (LGBT) people into main stream society, by providing professionals with a greater understanding of some of the issues effecting and affecting LGBT people.
